Detailed itinerary

Flights/Trains from all over the country arrive in Lhasa - Pick up at the airport/station and check in to the hotel for rest

[Overview of the trip]:
Trains or planes from all over the country arrive in Lhasa, and professional pick-up personnel will pick you up at the airport/station and then go to the designated hotel for rest. It is recommended to rest on the first day of the trip, adapt to the plateau, and prepare for the following trips. Actions on the plateau should be slowed down to prevent altitude sickness!
Tips: 1. Tibet has a high altitude and strong ultraviolet rays. It is recommended that you bring sun-proof clothing, sunscreen, lip balm and other supplies;
2. This day is very critical for tourists who are visiting Tibet for the first time. Lhasa is 3,650 meters above sea level, and Nyingchi is 2,900 meters above sea level. Slowly adapt to the plateau climate. Guests may experience varying degrees of altitude sickness. Don't be too nervous after arrival, keep a normal mind, drink more water, eat more fruits, rest more, don't wash your hair and take a bath, be careful not to catch a cold, don't do strenuous exercise, and walk slowly. Please bring your own vitamin C and some medicines for going out. Good psychological quality is the panacea for overcoming and defeating altitude sickness. A large number of examples have proved that maintaining an open-minded and optimistic mood can reduce the physical discomfort caused by altitude sickness.

Lhasa - Lalin Expressway - Gala Peach Blossom Village - Nyingchi

[Itinerary Overview]:
After breakfast, drive to Nyingchi along the most beautiful highway in China [Lalin Expressway], and visit [Gala Peach Blossom Village] in the afternoon. This is one of the best places for peach blossoms in Nyingchi. In March and April, Gala is full of peach blossoms. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the blooming peach blossoms stretch for miles, like a red sea of clouds. The peach garden is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the scenery of the Niyang River is in sight. The opposite green mountains are reflected in the water, and the snow-capped mountains in the distance are particularly enchanting. The Gala Village surrounded by mountains on three sides is full of wild peach trees. Visitors stroll under the wild peach trees and feel the spring of the plateau. Stay at Nyingchi Bayi in the evening.
Tips: The light is better in the afternoon, which is a good time to take pictures of peach blossoms. It is recommended to wear brightly colored clothes. The temperature difference on the plateau is large, so please prepare a thick piece of clothing.

Nyingchi - Sejila Mountain (Viewing Mount Namjagbarwa from a distance) - Lulang Forest Sea - Lulang International Tourism Town - Nyingchi

[Itinerary Overview]:
After breakfast, drive east along National Highway 318 and cross Sejila Mountain. At the top of Sejila Mountain (4720 meters above sea level), if the weather is fine, you can see China's most beautiful mountain, Mount Namjagbarwa (7782 meters above sea level). The peak is covered with snow and mist all year round, and it is difficult to show its true face. October to May of the following year is the best time to see it. It is called a snow mountain where "meeting depends on fate" by many outdoor enthusiasts.
After that, we will drive down the mountain in the primeval forest and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the road. Along the way is the primeval forest with the largest timber reserves in Tibet, Lulang Forest Sea, which has been known as the "Little Switzerland of the East" since ancient times.
In the afternoon, we will visit Lulang International Tourism Town and return to Nyingchi to check in at the hotel.

Nyingchi - Basongcuo (Red Sect Holy Lake) - Linla Expressway - Lhasa

[Itinerary Overview]:
After breakfast, we will arrive at the famous Red Sect Holy Lake [Basongcuo]. The shape of the lake is like a crescent moon embedded in the deep valley of the mountains. The lake water is so clear that you can see schools of fish swimming two or three meters below. The surrounding green mountains are like dark green, and the peaks are covered with snow that never melts all year round. The snow-capped mountains by the lake and the snow-capped mountains reflected on the lake are entangled with each other, continuous and spectacular! On the [Zaxi Island] in the lake, the Nyingma (Red Sect) temple [Cozong Gongba Temple] is said to have been built in the late Tang Dynasty, combining primitive worship with Tibetan Buddhist beliefs in a very Gongbu-style way.
Afterwards, we stopped on the Tang-Tibet Ancient Road, as if we saw the grandeur of Princess Wencheng's entry into Tibet. With infinite nostalgia, we returned to Lhasa along the "Tang-Tibet Ancient Road" and enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery of the Niyang River Valley along the way.

One-day tour in Lhasa (Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street)

[Itinerary Overview]:
After breakfast, visit the [Potala Palace], which is more than 3,700 meters above sea level and built on the Red Mountain (117 meters high, 13 floors, and more than 360 meters long from east to west). "Potala" is the transliteration of Putuo Luo, which is the palace where the Bodhisattva lives. The Jokhang Temple is a building that integrates palaces, temples and stupas. It is also the center of power in the old Tibet, which is a combination of politics and religion. It is divided into the Red Palace and the White Palace. The Red Palace is the stupa of successive Dalai Lamas and various Buddhist halls. The White Palace is the winter palace of the Dalai Lama and the office of the local government of Tibet in the old days.
[Jokhang Temple] Jokhang Temple is also known as "Zulakang", which means scripture hall in Tibetan. With a history of 1,350 years, it is the oldest temple in Lhasa and is still the central temple with a high status in the entire Tibetan area. The temple enshrines a life-size gilded statue of Sakyamuni at the age of 12, as well as statues of Songtsen Gampo, Princess Wencheng and Princess Chizun. (Feel the Tibetans lighting butter lamps in the Jokhang Temple and turning the prayer wheel around the Barkhor Street. The entire Barkhor Street is filled with the sound of the six-character mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum", which is magnificent and spectacular!) After visiting the Jokhang Temple, you can freely stroll around the [Barkhor Street] with a history of more than 1,300 years. Although it has gone through many changes, the old city here is still intact, and the city life of Lhasa can be seen here.

Warm Tips:
(1) Reservations are required to visit the Potala Palace. The specific visiting time is determined by the time approved by the Potala Palace Management Office. Therefore, today's itinerary arranges the order of scenic spots according to the visiting time of the Potala Palace.
(2) During the peak tourist season, the visiting time of the Potala Palace is randomly assigned by the management office computer, Line 1 or 2. The designated tour route of the day shall prevail.
(3) When visiting, you need to follow all Tibetan Buddhist taboos, such as not wearing a hat, not wearing a skirt, not taking photos (referring to taking some "exterior shots" outside the palace after entering the palace), not stepping on the threshold, etc. All tourists must complete the visit within 1 hour, so please follow the guide closely in the palace. The palace is high, so you should walk slowly up and down; it is cold inside the palace, so it is best to prepare a coat even in summer.
