After arriving in Linzhi, take the 318 National Highway eastward and cross Mount Namjagbarwa. At the top of Sejila Mountain, you can see the most beautiful mountain in China, Mount Namjagbarwa (7782 meters above sea level) when the weather is fine. The peak is covered with snow and mist all year round, and it is difficult to reveal its true face. October to May of the following year is the best time to see it. It is called a snow mountain where "meeting depends on fate" by many outdoor enthusiasts.
After that, drive down the mountain in the primeval forest and feel the beautiful scenery along the road. Along the way is the primeval forest with the largest timber reserves in Tibet, Lulang Forest Sea, which has been known as the "Little Switzerland of the East" since ancient times. Stay at Lulang International Travel Town at night.
After breakfast, take a proper rest. The oxygen content in Lulang is very sufficient in the early morning. After taking a deep breath of fresh air, bid farewell to Lulang and head to Bomi. After lunch, go to [Laigu Glacier] and take advantage of the winter in Tibet to encounter this pure blue. Walking into Laigu Glacier, it seems to have returned to the ancient ice age. The worldly dust has been washed away, the soul has been purified, and the huge glacier has a variety of postures and is beautiful!
Warm Tips:
(1) The best season to visit Laigu Glacier is from December to February of the following year.
(2) The hotel conditions in Ranwu are limited and cannot be compared with those in the city. Please understand.
After breakfast, take photos of [Ranwu Lake], which is the largest lake in eastern Tibet. It is a barrier lake formed by landslides or mudslides blocking the river. Ranwu Lake is famous for its tranquility and blueness. There are very few dead branches and debris in the lake, and the scenery around the lake is different. Ranwu Lake is very colorful, with grasslands, forests, autumn leaves, white waterfowl and colorful pebbles on the lakeshore, as clear as a mirror reflection.
Then go to [Guxiang Lake], which is the mother river of the Bomi people. The beautiful scenery here has another charm. The winding Parlung Zangbo River has turquoise water in spring. The forest in the distance extends to the riverside, and above the forest is a glacier with heavy snow. Then drive back to Nyingchi and check in at the hotel.
After breakfast, arrive at the famous holy lake of the Red Sect [Basongcuo]. The shape of the lake is like a crescent moon embedded in the deep valley of the mountains. The lake water is so clear that you can see schools of fish swimming two or three meters below. The surrounding mountains are like dark green, and the peaks are covered with snow that never melts all year round. The snow-capped mountains by the lake and the snow-capped mountains reflected on the lake are intertwined, continuous and spectacular! On the [Zaxi Island] in the lake, the Nyingma (Red Sect) temple [Cozong Gongba Temple] is said to have been built in the late Tang Dynasty. It has a very Gongbu style and combines primitive worship with Tibetan Buddhist beliefs.
Afterwards, we stopped at the Tang-Tibet Ancient Road, as if we saw the mighty procession of Princess Wencheng entering Tibet. We returned to Lhasa along the "Tang-Tibet Ancient Road" in infinite love, and enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery of the Niyang River Valley along the way.
After breakfast, visit the [Potala Palace]. The Potala Palace is more than 3,700 meters above sea level and is built on the Red Mountain (117 meters high, 13 floors in total, and more than 360 meters long from east to west).
"Potala" is the transliteration of Putuo Luo, which means the palace where the Bodhisattva lives. It is a building that integrates palaces, temples and stupa halls. It is also the ruling power center of the old Tibet where politics and religion are combined. It is divided into the Red Palace and the White Palace. The Red Palace is the stupa hall and various Buddhist halls of successive Dalai Lamas; the White Palace is the winter palace of the Dalai Lama and also the office of the local government of Tibet in the old days.
[Jokhang Temple] Jokhang Temple is also known as "Zulakang", which means scripture hall in Tibetan. It has a history of 1,350 years and is the oldest temple in Lhasa. It is still the central temple with a high status in the entire Tibetan area. The temple enshrines a life-size gilded statue of Sakyamuni at the age of 12, as well as statues of Songtsen Gampo, Princess Wencheng and Princess Chizun. (You can feel the scene of Tibetans lighting butter lamps in Jokhang Temple and turning around the Barkhor Street. The whole Barkhor Street is filled with the sound of the six-character mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum", which is magnificent and spectacular!) After visiting Jokhang Temple, you can freely stroll around the Barkhor Street with a history of more than 1,300 years. Although it has gone through many vicissitudes, the old city here is still intact, and the city life of Lhasa can be seen here.
After breakfast, we crossed the [Gangbala Pass] at an altitude of 4,990 meters along the winding mountain road and came to the [Yamdrok Lake Observation Deck], the highest freshwater lake in the world. Take a [panorama of Yamdrok Lake] on the top of the mountain. The azure blue lake water merges with the sky, and it is hard to tell whether the sky or the lake water is bluer. The lake surface is 4,441 meters above sea level, the lakeshore is 250 kilometers long, and the area is 638 square kilometers. The lake water is as clear as sheep fat, tastes sweet, and can be drunk directly. The azure blue waters and the snow-capped mountains in the distance are connected, and the mountains of different colors on both sides, the unique Tibetan villages and the cattle and sheep everywhere form a beautiful picture. Then go down to the [Yanghu Lake], get close to the holy lake, and take photos.
After breakfast, according to the flight/train time, the airport/station will be delivered in time, ending the pleasant trip to Tibet!
